I was Born December 15, 2012. I’ve had my tail docked, dew claws removed and my first and second set of puppy shots. I’m not AKC registered, nor are my parents.
When I’m fully grown I’ll weigh about 7.5 pounds and my coloring will be black, tan and silver. I’m considered the “runt” of the litter and I’m a gentle, calm, adorable little guy that likes to cuddle. I love to play and explore. I’m curious about things and very smart. I think my personality would best suit adults, a family with one child or a single person wanting a companion. I would make a wonderful companion!

Wonderful disposition, perfect for a family with kids and an adult who loves to jog or boat or just be outside. She has been vetted, spayed and kept in perfect health. The only reason we are looking for a home is that we are moving to China to work and cannot take her. We have had her since she was a puppy.

She lives on the water now and goes swimming daily. She would probably be a good dog to hunt with or for agility. She has lots of energy and lots of love to give. She needs a fenced back yard and more training (she went to puppy class and knows sit, down, stay and–of course–is house trained completely). Puppies are cute, but you can see what you are getting with an adult dog (and less trouble).

If you do not own your home, do not contact us as we want her to have the forever home she deserves and renters are sometimes surprised by their landlords.

We will charge money for her, again, to make sure the people who get her are committed to her. She cost us $800 when she was a puppy; we will charge less than half of that. It kind of depends on the home. She just had minor surgery on her foot where she picked up a fox tail, so she has a shaved foot. Not a big deal, but she is less than perfect at the moment. This event cost us over $450, so we want to make sure she goes to a family who can afford to take her to the vet if she needs it. If you don’t live in the country like we do maybe you can avoid fox tails!

If you love Golden Retrievers, you will love Shyla. She has all of the great traits of that breed…in spades!
